The other day I was calling Ellie and was getting frustrated. I had asked her to do something for me and she was not listening! Anyway, she was sitting on the ground and when she looked up at me I thought I was going to die. It has been a really long time since I laughed that hard! She found my old glasses from 7th grade and was wearing them. Mom, what were you thinking letting me go out of the house wearing those? Good thing we don't stay in 7th grade forever!

Ellie's New Glasses!

Home Sweet Home!
We found out this week that we will be returning to CA in June! John will be stationed at Coast Guard Sector Los Angeles Long beach. Our transfer from DC was not going to happen for another year, and even then we were not sure where we would be stationed. We are really excited to have this opportunity to come back home! John is excited because he will be able to speed up his career by gaining more experience in the field. Also, to be working outside on the boats and near the water is great for him! We feel so blessed to be able to live near our family and friends once again. 
As much as we are excited to see our families, let's be real. What is John really looking forward to? Two years away from surfing is too long, so he tells me!
